Need help with Swapping/Transferring Tron Wallet

Hi, so I bought TRX years ago and haven't touched it. I left it in a Tron Wallet and I wanted to swap it for ETH so I could transfer it to my coinbase wallet so I can just take my losses and not have to think about this coin again. Could someone tell me why the value decreases once I swapped it? I thought the fee was just a few dollars but it looks like it took out a couple hundred. I could have sworn the value of my TRX was around $340 and now it says $301 and then $94. Yeah, I am not going to touch crypto again after I get this back into my bank.
