Jazz Dance

Last week i started to ask people which style they want to have covered during DanceWeekend - we are already on our Sunday so might be quite late but a suggestion by @freiheit50 last week might have a good fit for a relaxed fun Sunday.

Let us dance a bit - raining here so move your bones as our @kus-knee would say.

Jazz dance is an umbrella term that can refer to several related dance styles. All of them are connected via common roots, namely tap, ballet, jazz music, and African-American rhythms and dance. Jazz dance originated from the African American vernacular dance of the late 1800s to the mid-1900s.

The term Jazz Dance was first used in the early 20th century when Jazz came up. The origin lies in the dances brought from Africa by slaves shipped to the US. Her are some great tunes for you to enjoy!
