If Nexo want to provide more regular payouts, why not just quarterly dividends like most companies?
Their rationale for switching to interest is that the community apparently want more regular payouts. I would argue that perhaps just the newbies want this. Anyone who believes in Nexo is in it long term and will be patient for growing future dividends. So, as per the title, if they really want to just provide more regular payouts then a quarterly or half yearly dividend seems a smart transition.
Any added pain of calculating profits more regularly should be negligible for a billion dollar company. And anyway if they really want to behave like a bank (but better of course), regular, audited reporting is how it’s done.
