Maybe you’ve heard about the launch of the Moonlight platform from your family or a friend, but how do you get started? As it turns out, it’s a pretty simple process and we’ll walk you through your first profile.
First, you’ll want to click “Create New Profile” and give it a name. That should bring you to the next screen, which looks like this:
Let’s go in order, from left to right, top to bottom.Basic Information
You’ll want to add an image, by clicking “add new profile picture” and uploading a picture from your device. After you save, click on the toggle next to the picture in the “assign profile picture” screen and click “apply” to make it show up on your profile. By the way, you’ll have to click “apply” each time to save your changes to any category, so don’t forget!
If you’ve signed in with one of our Oauth2 providers, there may be an imported image already in there for you to use. If you don’t want to use it, you can easily delete it by clicking the “edit” icon to the right of the image and clicking “delete this profile picture”. This is also how you can delete any input information on the platform. Supposing you don’t want to show a profile picture at all, you can just choose to hide the field entirely by going to “Hide profile picture” and applying it. Again, this is a feature present for ALL categories. Just be aware, some people you network with like seeing certain types of information, so think carefully before hiding anything!
Adding your name, social link, occupation, email address, phone number, and address are similar to what you’ve just done to add an image (although without uploading a file). Just enter the information, save, click the toggle in the “assign” screen, and click apply.
Just remember, though - for your phone number, you’ll need to enter your country code before the start of each number. For example, a number in the US would start with one (+1 222 333 4444). You don’t have to enter ...
