How many of you were around for the nano bubble in 2018?

I'm brand new to this and I was finally able to perform enough transfers/swaps/verifications etc. to buy some nano on Binance (US) and then transfer it out of course. Now I'm looking at the full price history of nano and I see on new years day 2018 it spiked to $37.62? What happened? Was there some kind of infrastructure change or was this just an exuberant bubble that popped? 8 months later it was trading at around $1 where it stayed until last month (wish I'd been a little sooner to the party). Any nano veterans who want to share stories of that time I'd love to hear it.
