Wallet won't connect to remote node
Hello - I'm trying to connect my laptop to my remote node. Both OSs are Ubuntu but am getting this error message: "Error: wallet failed to connect to daemon: localhost:17081. Daemon either is not started or wrong port was passed. Please make sure daemon is running or change the daemon address using the 'set\_daemon' command." The command I used to start the remote node is: ./monerod --public-node --prune-blockchain --rpc-bind-port 17081 --rpc-bind-ip 127.0.0.1 --rpc-login xxx:yyy --restricted-rpc Then on my laptop I first ran this in one terminal to make an encrypted tunnel: ssh -L 17081:localhost:17081 [email protected] And next on my laptop I started the wallet with this command in a different terminal: ./monero-wallet-cli --daemon-address localhost:17081 --daemon-login xxx:yyy --trusted-daemon --wallet-file wallet.bin ...which is where I got the error message. What am I doing wrong?
