PLISIO: Are 10 confirmations really needed or is this overkill?

This weekend, I did an online payment with Monero and I have to wait for 10 confirmations before the payment is considered "executed".

The payment provider is PLISIO.

Why do they need 10 confirmations for Monero? They give a time frame of up to 60 mins.

Is this overkill or is there a logic in their thinking?
