What the heck is going on with gas???

Hey guys, I've been busy with work for the past 2 weeks.

Why is gas at 250gwei? What is going on?

Is it people trying to stake and unstake? Did something else occur?

I'm not complaining though, more gas means faster deflation for Ethereum.
