The District Weekly — August 10th, 2019
News and updates from the district0x Network
This past week the district0x team published our bi-weekly dev update, which detailed many updates entering QA phase for Meme Factory. These updates included supporting .gifv and .mp4 file formats for short video memes (still under 1.5 MB). Additionally an email notification system was created to notify users when it is time to reveal their vote after the voting period has ended. Another major update included users now being able to back up and store their vote secrets, thus allowing users to vote on one machine, save their vote secrets, and then upload and reveal their votes on another machine. Lastly a vote counting bug had been discovered, which was found to actually only be affecting the client even though votes were correctly being recorded on the blockchain. This issue is being addressed in QA and the resolution should retroactively correct all misread votes by the client.
The District Registry is mirroring certain implementations within Meme Factory, such as parameter change abilities and email notification systems being set up. An additional feature being worked on is the display of staking chart history for each district, which will give users a better idea of community participation within that district over time.district0x Network News Dapp Digest
