Smoothing pool?

It appears to me that the one big advantage that large centralized (e.g. exchanges) and semi centralized (e.g. Rocketpool, Lido, etc.) have over solo stakers is the ability to spread rewards across all their participants. Is there a mechanism for solo stakers to participate in smoothed staking rewards with other solo stakers?
