Paying US taxes on purchases with eth.

I've invested in eth by staking Eth on Rocket Pool. Assume this eth is worth 10% more in 2 years.

Fast forward 2 years into the future, I use that Eth to make a purchase of a motorcycle.

Do I pay taxes to the US government for buying that motorcycle or for using my Eth that went up in value (long term capital gains)?
