How Does Anybody See The Merge As Anything But A “Sell The News” Event?

Question in the title, but I’m genuinely curious how anyone thinks the price of Ethereum will stay strong, or even pump after the merge? None of the core problems with Ethereum are fixed by the merge (scalability, finality, outrageous fees), and only low IQ greenies can find anything good to say about it with POS propaganda. It seems obvious that once the hype dies down there will be a massive sell off because there is literally no good news for the global economy forthcoming that justifies the current price of ETH. Long term I’m more bullish because of things like MATIC making ETH a viable piece of technology compared to AVAX, nothing about the merge is of any short or long term value outside of some ideology related to POS.
