<p>It seems like many (if not most) core developers are affiliated with some role at the Ethereum Foundation. So my question is are these core developers “hired” by the EF to help maintain and develop the Ethereum ledger? Are they getting a salary from the EF? If so, how do we, as a community, encourage and fund more decentralized core development? I know protocol guild is a promising one so anyone know the progress on that?</p>
