There have been several surveys in 2018 examining attitudes and opinions toward blockchain technology and cryptocurrency, notably including surveys by major accounting firms like PwC and Deloitte. Although these surveys focus on technology lauded by crypto-anarchists and cypherpunks, ironically, the target respondents were business executives.
In an attempt to get a broader perspective, I drafted a survey intended for everyone — crypto traders, blockchain engineers, blue-collar workers, your grandmother, and, yes, executives too.
Rather than asking for unqualified predictions about the future of this nascent technology (“What industry do you think will be most disrupted by blockchain?”: 🔮), the survey focuses on the here and now by asking respondents about their experience with blockchain and cryptocurrency to date, including a series of questions focused on the technology’s application and adoption in their workplaces.
The survey should take around 10 minutes to complete. At the end of the survey, if you choose, you may submit your email address to be notified when the aggregate results are published or to be notified of follow-up research opportunities. Follow-up research participants may be eligible for a chance to win a gift card (details, terms, and conditions to be announced when the follow-up research project is launched).
As with any survey, the law of large numbers applies — a large sample of valid responses is necessary to obtain meaningful statistical data. To that end, I encourage you to share this survey within your social networks (links to share this post on Twitter and Facebook are below).
