Some clarification about High Performance Masternodes and Platform and governance proposals.

Clarification stuff about High Performance Masternodes and Platform/Evo and governance proposals.

For various thoughtful and legitimate reasons, there can’t be (and so there won’t be) a governance proposal from DCG regarding the best way forward with regards to how many and what kind of masternodes should run Platform until the newly formed DCG board has had a chance to discuss and approve such a proposal. (WooHoooo, the board is up and running again!) Since that board meeting hasn’t happened yet, we can’t say with any certainty when that proposal will appear for the consideration of the Masternode community. It is very extremely unlikely to be the upcoming voting/budget cycle.

If and when the time comes for such a proposal, it is 100% guaranteed that it will not appear late in the voting cycle. The goal is for the MN community to have plenty of time to discuss the ideas, give feedback, ask more questions, etc etc etc.

Another constraint is that it’s no good putting up an important and complex governance proposal about how Platform and High Performance Masternodes might work, until the extensive FAQ about these topics has been published by Sam (and others of course). It’s a big document and growing by the minute and it’s not done yet. But it’s coming in the very near future I am informed. Once that’s up for everybody to have a good look at AND discuss by the water cooler and various forums, AND the DCG board gets to absorb all that information and hash it out some more AND decide to proceed with an agreed upon proposal, THEN and only then will a governance proposal be put forth about this stuff to be considered and voted upon by the Masternode community.
