Why I think the name change on Staples Center would be very bullish not only for CRO but for the entire Cryptocurrency market
According to the LA Times, the new logo would debut on the NBA Christmas Game between the LA Lakers and the Brooklyn Nets. On average, Christmas Games of the NBA brings in around 7 million people, in comparison, UFC 264 McGregor vs. Pourier brought in around 2 million PPV’s (UFC 264 was where they debuted the crypto.com in the arena and shirts of fighters).
Imagine people on the holiday watching the game with NBA stars like LeBron, AD, Russ, KD, Harden and the Staples Center gets introduced as “crypto.com Arena” or whatever it will be called. People will be very curious since Crypto is already gaining traction right now and with a domain like that, the site will be easily accessible. They would most probably open an account and maybe buy their first crypto or even get enticed by the staking of CRO coins and the card (which I believe would be very bullish for CRO).
Historically, the holiday saw the bullrun wherein Bitcoin went to 19k and 64k respectively. That is why I like to believe that this name change, a perfect mix of marketing, holiday hype, hopium, and basketball would be really bullish not only for CRO but for Cryptocurrency as a whole.
This deal was also 700 million dollars, so just imagine how much crypto.com can spend on marketing and rights alone. What other partnerships can they get, we’ll just wait and see. (For now, it would be nice to see Curry draining threes from a Crypto logo when they host the Warriors 🤣)
Just a bit of hopium when the markets are red!!! DCA and HODL 🚀🚀🚀
