Chainlink VRF is one of the many decentralized services available through Chainlink’s industry-leading oracle network, providing developers with a tamper-proof and auditable source of randomness directly on-chain to augment their smart contract applications in exciting, unpredictable, and provably fair ways.
As the go-to Random Number Generator (RNG) solution throughout the MTVE Metaverse, Chainlink VRF enables a wide range of in-game functions, starting with randomly assigning properties to ships and fairly determining the content of blind boxes (loot boxes). We selected Chainlink VRF because it’s based on cutting-edge academic research, supported by Chainlink’s time-tested oracle infrastructure, and secured through the generation and on-chain verification of cryptographic proofs that verify the integrity of each random number supplied to MTVE.
