I’ll try to keep this short.
Today, I was trying to move some ADA around from my Daedalus desktop wallet. I was met with the “invalid password” alert. No sweat, I wrote it down, aaaand apparently it’s wrong. Still, didn’t think it was a big deal because I read I could just double check my passphrase, delete my wallet, and then restore to create a new spending password. I did record my passphrase and I was told it was wrong.
I’m frantic because I KNOW this was the password and this was he passphrase. I never deleted my Byron wallet when the migration to Shelley happened. I was curious so, I clicked on that wallet and verified the passphrase and password. Of course, both the spending password and passphrase match up with that 0 balance wallet 😐. This was the wallet I migrated over to Shelley. I don’t ever recall having to set up a new spending password or receiving a new passphrase when the Shelley wallet was created. I say that because I have all my wallets info written down and stored.
Am I missing some information here? Am I totally screwed?
Edit: Found my spending password. So, looks like I’ll be moving all my ADA into a new wallet since I can’t find the passphrase.
