Crypto address book - help determine if this should be built!
I’ve been thinking about creating a website/app that serves as a “address book” for public wallet addresses of people’s email and social media handles. This would serve a similar purpose to how some users list their crypto addresses in their twitter profile.
The flow of the app would look something like this:
* User A logs into the app using email or social media authentication (like a 'login with twitter' button).
* Once logged in, User A could “save” their public wallet addresses. Initially, it would support only Cardano, but could expand to other crypto types.
* User B could then look-up the public wallet information for user A by entering their email or social media handle, which would allow user B to send a tip or payment to user A.
The app would only be the phone book and would not be involved in the transactions itself (at least initially).
I know that I could deliver this functionality well, but I’m not sure if it’s something that people would use. Please let me know what you think!
If you like the idea, I'd love some comments to help with:
1. Features that should be included in the 1.0 release
2. An app name!
If it's a dumb idea, I'd greatly appreciate you letting me know that now before I spend time building it. Be gentle with the comments - I'm asking with good intentions!! :-)
Is this a good idea?
