What happens if/when one Satoshi is valued at over $10? How can I buy a $5 coffee?
Hypothetically, in the future the price of one Bitcoin goes to $1 billion, that would make each Satoshi worth $10, but I want to buy a $5 coffee, how would I further divide that Satoshi? Would I have to use layer 2s? Or would Bitcoin get an update to further divide one ₿ into more than 100 million Satoshi’s? I’m not even going to do the math to figure out what the market cap would be if this was the case, I’ll leave that for the comments.
