Users and Hashpower
I just finished reading "The Blocksize War" from Jonathan Bier. From the original whitepaper, which is also a widespread fact, we get the idea that the "truth" or what we call Bitcoin is the "longest" chain. The "longest" chain is the one with the most accumulated work. That would imply that miners decide which chain is called Bitcoin. However, as demonstrated in this book, what we call Bitcoin is actually decided by the users. Is that something Satoshi didn't anticipate? Should we globally push for a change and start spreading the fact that users decide (control) Bitcoin and not the majority of the hash power? EDIT: wording.
