Trading BTC on Etoro vs. other exchanges

I decided to start 'day trading' bitcoin.

I opened an account on Etoro, and dumped my principle into BTC (was given 'platinum' status, whatever that means). I noticed that the price you buy in at was higher than their listed exchange values, and I had to wait for a $400 rise just to cover this.

Are all exchanges equal with regard to the difference between their listed value and their purchase price? I'm aware that this is how they make money, but Etoro seems annoyingly high.

(I'm also aware that I don't "actually own" my Etoro BTC, I'm also aware that I'm gambling. I'm just interested here in whether you know of any exchanges that offer better value than Etoro in terms of list:purchase price ratio)
