Specter on Mynode

Just finished syncing a full node for the first time. Intention was to do multi-with Specter, but now I see that the specter integration with the Mynode software is not included in the free "community" edition.

I imagine I can just download Specter directly to my laptop and connect it to my node. Is there any disadvantage of this compared to using the version integrated with the MyNode software?
