Setting up a trezor

Is it advisable to set up a new trezor on a laptop that has never been connected online, or does that not even matter based on how the trezor works? I could either wipe my old Mac clean and set it up or use my new Mac which I bought recently and is almost certainly clean as I just use it for gmail, news, taxes etc no dubious websites visited whatsoever.
