Question about address reuse
I know it is recommended to use a different bitcoin address each time and my Ledger does this automatically but I’m curious how many people actually do it? There are a few reasons that makes it problematic. 1) I like to do a small test before transferring larger amounts. Changing addresses defeats the purpose of this. 2) I have whitelists enabled on my Coinbase account and they take a couple of days before they are enabled. This is a great security feature but a real pain if rotating addresses for each transfer off the exchange. Those are the two main reasons and other currencies don’t do this so I’m just curious how important it really is? Especially when transferring funds to cold storage. It makes a lot more sense when sharing them with various people who may be sending you funds. Thanks.
