I want to secure my btc for a long term hold, but I don't know if I feel comfortable with cold storage.

Writing down a 24 word pass phrase and trying to hide it in a physical location kind of stresses me out, I'm not sure where I should keep it. I thought about a safety deposit box, or split keys in physical locations. You could buy a safe I suppose but I live in an apartment and if the building burned down I don't know if I would be able to recover a small safe.

The thought of hiding it in a book, or stashed somewhere in my place and it being discovered one day and my btc stolen, or my place burning down, or it accidentally being thrown out feels really stressful.

I almost feel safer having it stored digitally, I use good internet practises and the amount I own isn't worth a hackers time. I'm torn, everyone here champions cold storage but there are risks involved being your own steward of safekeeping. It feels like burying gold and hoping nobody discovers it / it gets accidentally destroyed.

I have been accumulating on an exchange, there is a withdrawal fee but I'm at the point where I would like to take it out, I just don't know what the best solution is for safekeeping. Every solution I've read about gives me a certain layer of anxiety.
