Fallacy of Conceptual Similarity

One of the recent arguments against Bitcoin and PoW is that E(thereum) was also PoW and is now PoS. So they say this proves that Bitcoin can be changed to PoS too. Don't be fooled by this argument. It is based on an assumption that Bitcoin and E are somehow conceptually similar. This is incorrect. They are very different in almost everything. One was build to separate the money from the state while the other was build to enrich small group of founders.

As an analogy, take a glider vs a commercial airplane. Yes, they both "fly", but the nature of their functionality is fundamentally different and you can't just say "this Airbus does not need to burn fuel because look at this glider". Same with E's PoS. Just because some fundamentally different thing uses some kind of technology, it does not imply that Bitcoin can use it too. You can't take engines away from the Airbus and expect it will work just like before.
