Crypto steel?

I recently got a hardware wallet with a 24 word passphrase. Now I want to invest in a steel product like Cryptosteel. It seems strange to me that to store 24 words I have to abbreviate the 5 and 6 letter words to the first 4 characters so it will fit in the tube or cassette. I get that I can probably discern what the word is from the first 4 letters but what if I can’t? What if it’s 20 years before I need it? What if I die and my family needs to decrypt it. Seems strange. Anyone have a solution to this?
