Buying & Holding Bitcoin while on disability in Canada

Title says it all.. is buying & holding Bitcoin while on disability a good idea? I live in Canada.. I've been out of work for a long time without any real prospect of returning unless a miracle occurs within my body..

should i be investing in Bitcoin given my situation? is it worth it? am i even allowed to legally accumulate Bitcoin while on government assistance?

i'm so torn about this whole idea, and i have no sweet clue what to do about it
