Best practices with hardware wallet / seed generation

Hello, I bought a Ledger Nano to store my BTC. But after ready this topic: >https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/8fqpmi/what_if_hardware_wallets_were_preseeded/ I wanted to generate my own seed with a deck of card instead of trusting the Ledger seed. So my question is, what is the best practice to generate a safe and secure seed? On the above link, they suggest to use https://iancoleman.io/bip39/ (offline). But, how do I know that this generator is safe ? Thanks for your advices.
