So I’m a big fan of AMPL. I think it has a lot of potential and could eventually replace centralized stable coins. That said, the recent KuCoin hack incident has made me a bit less bullish. I am not technical and want to know if my concern is warranted.
I’ve seen small posts about the hack but frankly I’m surprised there hasn’t been more on it considering the fact that addresses being frozen is quite concerning. I know this is exactly the sort of the thing the Ample said they didn’t want (for the coin to be censorable) but how much confidence can we have that they will fully release control in the future? I know there have been other projects who planned to make their chain fully decentralized and it has yet to happen. Just looking to understand further.
