VeChain has scored a new coup. This Wednesday, VeChain’s country manager for Singapore tweeted that the platform was added to the DHL APAC Innovation Centre’s Partner Wall:“Quick update: @vechainofficial has been incepted unto DHL APAC Innovation Centre’s Partner Wall! The center provides an immersive experience to clients by introducing new solutions from both established co. & startups. We look fwd to collaborations with the DHL team #GoVeChain”
The DHL innovations center was set up in 2015 to help in the creation of innovative logistics and supply chain solutions, leveraging self-driving vehicles, robotics, internet of things and augmented reality.
The parent wall is a display that shows the companies that the center considers official partners and who they make these developments with. Current partners include Google, Fujitsu, and Nikon.
With this new addition, VeChain can now begin working in collaboration with DHL to produce blockchain-based solutions for the logistics industry.
This is not DHL’s first foray into blockchain technology. Earlier this year, the company released a report in collaboration with Accenture, a technology company, on the possibility of blockchain technology revolutionizing the logistics and supply chain industry.
“The experiments with blockchain in finance are well known, but we believe logistics is an area where the new technology will have a truly profound impact,” said Matthias Heutger, Senior Vice President DHL Customer Solutions & Innovation. “Implementing productive solutions, however, will require further technological development and, critically, a collaboration between all stakeholders.”Blockchain as a Service
